The Julians - May 15, 3 pm

Come experience a sumptuous afternoon filled with “Melodies & Desires” from Portland’s own genre-defying lady vocal quartet, The Julians as part of the 2010-2011 St. Stephen’s Episcopal Parish concert series. This program runs the indie/pop/classical/jazz gamut with works by Leonard Cohen, Mountain Man, Veljo Tormis, Florence & the Machine, Cat Stevens, Fleet Foxes and Einojuhani Rautavaara to name a few. The Julians will be joined by violinist Chris Fotinakis and pianist Anita Lundgren.

$10 suggested donation at the door. Refreshments served after the concert.

The Julians are four of Portland's finest female vocalists working together to explore, challenge, embrace, and sing the living daylights out of music that they love. The Julians are comprised of: sopranos Elizabeth Bacon, Maria Karlin and Mel Downie, and mezzo Kristen Buhler. More information about The Julians is available at: http://www.thejuliansmusic.com/.
